TCT members age 16-17 are eligible for a debit card. Members between the ages of 12-15 may have a debit card with management approval. It is important to note that a minor requesting to open a checking account is required to have a parent or legal guardian joint on the checking account.
Yes. your direct deposit may be allocated to multiple accounts or to pay various loans held at TCT. To have your direct deposit set-up to meet your financial needs, call or visit your local branch for more details. For your convenience, TCT provides a Direct Deposit form to allocate where you would like your money to go. You will need to return it to your employer's Human Resources Department.
Yes. Members may send and receive wire transfers domestically and internationally. TCT does not charge an incoming wire fee. Please call us for applicable fees for outgoing wires.
To send a wire from a TCT account, you will need:
- Recipient/Payee’s full legal name, complete address including country, account number (or IBAN).
- Receiving if required, intermediary financial institution’s full name, complete address, ABA routing/transit number. If the wire is being sent internationally, we will require the financial institutions swift/sort code.
- Additional information may be required to process your outgoing wire request.

Yes, TCT may place a hold on a check or deposit you make into your account. A hold is put in place to protect you and the credit union. If you spend the money you received from the deposit, but it is returned to the credit union and not paid, then you will have to cover the negative balance. Please reference our Funds Availability Policy.
You may visit your local branch and sign a Stop Payment Request form in person, or you may call and request a verbal stop payment, which is good for 14 days. Prior to the 14th day you will need to sign a stop payment form at your local branch. If you do not sign the form, the stop payment will be removed. Refer to TCT Fee Schedule for applicable fees. 1. Log in to online banking
2. Click on ‘Alerts’ located in the left-hand menu.
3. Use the ‘Select New Alert’ drop-down menu to select the alert type you wish to set-up.
4. Choose which account you wanted to be alerted about. Enter the requested information (amount, check number, etc.). Click ‘Next’.
5. Enter the message you want the alert to say. Ex. “Checking account balance getting low”. If you wish to receive the account balance in the alert, check the box. If you wish to receive the available balance instead of current balance, check the box. The available balance includes any pending transactions. Click ‘Next’.
6. Choose how you would like to receive the alert and enter your information. Click ‘Add’.
If you wish to view another account that you are a joint owner on within the same online banking login, we can manually link your accounts for you. Please send us a secure message with the account number you wish to link within online banking.
If you have opted to receive text-notification, your alerts will come from a 10-digit phone number and will always include our email and name at the top of the message. If you doubt the authenticity of an alert you receive, verify the alert is one that you set-up in your online banking.
The primary or joint member can change their address on the account by any of the following five methods: 1) within the security of our online banking platform, 2) by signing an address change form at any of our branches or available online, 3) by mailing us a signed request in writing, 4) by emailing us at itsgreattocu@tctfcu.org or 5) by calling us at 1-800-721-8288.
In the Alerts section, choose the alert you wish to edit from your list of alerts. Click through the ‘edit alert’ screen to change your alert setting. You can choose ‘delete alert’ in the bottom-left corner to remove the alert completely.
If your employer offers direct deposit, provide your Payroll or Human Resources Department our credit union’s routing number, 221374984, and your account number, or a copy of a voided check.
IMPORTANT:
We recommend providing a copy of a voided check or providing the full check MICR number from your checkbook. The number starts with 137 and you should not drop any numbers when you provide the information to your HR department. If you have more than one checking account, each account will have its own unique MICR number.
TCT also provides a Direct Deposit form for your convenience. You will need to return it to your employer’s Human Resources Dept.
If you have more than one checking account under the same membership account number, we will charge a monthly service fee on the first checking account only. If you have more than one checking account and they are under separate membership account numbers, they will each be charged a monthly service fee.
No. TCT Members under age 18 may not apply for loans, credit cards or overdraft protection.
You can change your account anytime by calling us, stopping by a branch, logging in to online banking and sending us a secure message, or completing an Opt-Out/Account Change Form located on our website.
While the account offers you many services, it is up to you how to make the most of them! You may choose to opt out of Automatic Courtesy Pay and Debit Card Round-Up. Credit and Dark Web Monitoring require your action and consent. Mobile phone insurance, identity theft recovery, and shopping discounts are available whenever you choose to use them.

All members, 18 years of age or older, and have no history of fraudulent transactions, account abuse, or collections with TCT.

If you have misplaced your debit card, you can turn your debit card off using TCT’s mobile banking app. You will need your card's 16 digits and CVV to register the card with TCT Card Controls. (You will be prompted to download the TCT Card Controls app the first time you click on the menu option.)
We believe this account offers valuable benefits that will protect your overall financial well-being. It is easy to change your account, should you prefer TCT Original Checking.
Increasingly, our members reach out to us for help with identity theft and/or cash flow worries. We are offering Peace of Mind Checking to help relieve the stress of both situations for our members.
The $5.00 monthly service fee provides you with added benefits and protections. TCT Original Checking is an option with no monthly service fee if you wish not to have the added benefits and protections.
No. Your account number, any checks, debit card(s), or automatic payments you may have scheduled, will not be affected by this account change.
Overdraft protection from a linked TCT savings account or loan is available. Contact us to set-up overdraft protection.
Both the primary member and the joint owner must sign a Member Service Request form in order to add or remove a joint owner. Contact your local TCT branch for more information.
