TCT Supports the Trades Grant Program
TCT is committed to supporting our members entering or continuing their education in the trades.
Who is Eligible: This grant is available to members age 16 and older, at any stage of any life who are enrolled in, or have completed a trade school program and have a financial need.
“We are thrilled to continue supporting education through our scholarships and to expand opportunities with the TCT Supports the Trades Grant Program,” said TCT FCU CEO, Curt Cecala. “We want high school seniors and our adult members to know there are jobs in our communities that offer competitive salaries through a trade education, and we can help them achieve their goals.”

TCT Scholarships
TCT believes in the boundless potential of our young scholars and encourages all eligible students to apply.
Each year, TCT offers high school seniors the opportunity to compete for statewide college scholarships through the New York Credit Union Association’s College Scholarship Program. Scholarships may be used at a two- or four-year accredited educational institution, or vocational or trade school. In 2024, TCT awarded $12,000 in college scholarships. Sixteen high school seniors received an amount between $750 and $1,000 to help finance their college education.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be:
- Members of TCT FCU
- College-bound high school seniors at the time of application
- Planning to attend a two- or four-year accredited educational institution, vocational, or trade school for the first time in the fall.
The TCT Scholarship deadline for 2025 High School Graduating Seniors has passed.
Come early spring, applications will be judged against other submissions statewide. The lucky winners will be announced in May.
