What is a Trusted Contact?
At TCT, we have a Trusted Contact Program that allows our members to name a person or persons we may contact if there are concerns about fraud, potential financial exploitation, diminished capacity, or if we are having difficulty reaching the member.
The Trusted Contact is not considered an owner on the account(s) and is not authorized to transact on the account(s); instead, they serve as an extra layer of protection and support by helping confirm the member’s wellbeing and, when appropriate, assisting the member in addressing suspicious activity.
Being designated as a Trusted Contact is a non-legal role designed for you to act as a safety net for our members’ account(s), similar to an emergency contact. If you are named, you should expect to be contacted by TCT only in specific, limited circumstances to help protect our member from fraud, financial exploitation or to address sensitive or urgent situations when they cannot be reached.
To add a Trusted Contact to your account(s), please contact TCT to complete a Trusted Contact Authorization form.
