In September of 2021, TCT launched its second checking account, Peace of Mind Checking. Since then, we have been able to help countless members with courtesy overdrafts, reduced fees, credit monitoring, and more! Let's dive into the benefits…
First up, Credit and Dark Web Monitoring!
Unfortunately, in today’s world, there is so much information sharing which can result in new credit inquiries and your information being sold on the dark web.
Enroll. With the credit and dark web monitoring offered with Peace of Mind Checking, all you have to do is enroll using your Enrollment ID. From there, you can submit your email address, credit card and debit card information, medical ID number, and more to ensure your information isn’t being shared on the dark web!
Alerts. If they do see a hit for an item you have submitted, you will get an email letting you know so you can update anything you need to. You will also get an email whenever you have a hard hit on your credit.
Monthly Credit Score. One of my favorite features with the credit and dark web monitoring is the email you get each month updating you on your monthly credit score and letting you know you had no hits on the dark web that month- so even if everything is great you are still kept in the know… giving you peace of mind that all is well.
What happens if someone does get your information and you become a victim of identity theft?
To help with this, our next benefit is fully Managed Identity Theft Recovery!
One of the coolest features of this benefit is that you will have coverage for any incidence of identity theft, not just for something with TCT. If you are a victim of identity theft, you will have help throughout the process with a dedicated Recovery Advocate to guide you. They will help research, check your credit report, coordinate with different agencies to resolve incidents, create a case file, and more!
Next up, Mobile Phone Coverage.
I was recently offered mobile phone protection with my cell phone service, and the “amazing offer” cost $18 per phone line, with a $100 deductible, and a max payout of $250. I was blown away by this because as part of TCT’s $5 a month Peace of Mind Checking, I get coverage up to $500 with a $50 deductible. It also covers any line that is under your plan. Not only that, but you can also file up to 2 claims a year within 12 months! I mentioned this to my cell phone salesperson, and she asked how to sign up as a member.
